Emersions’ proprietary System Modules (comprising core software licensed from and supported by Emersion) are managed and operated by Emersion. The Billing Sub-System provides a powerful engine to calculate charges for products and services sold to Customers. If combined with the Information Retrieval System, usage information from an upstream Supplier is bound to a Customer’s Plan Sale, and the associated Plan’s Rates will be used to calculate the correct charge for each Information Record into periodic rated Customer accounts., The production of electronic invoices and interfaces to other Emersion Systems for Customer Management, information retrieval, provisioning and other services is described in detail later.

The Information Retrieval System obtains information from the Client’s Supplier(s) (Service Information). This Service Information (eg. usage data such as Call Detail Records or RADIUS accounting records / data usage) is retrieved, verified and stored by Emersion for use by Emersions Systems and the Client’s billing, accounting, or other systems that require the retrieval of the Service Information. This Service information can then be presented in a standard format (where possible) using the Emersion IRS Module web services Application Programming Interface (API). The System Module also interfaces to other Emersion Systems for Customer Management, provisioning, billing and other services.

The Service Management System provides interfaces to the Clients Suppliers to manage the workflow, order and provision of products and services (Provisioning) of the Client with Suppliers of the Client or the Clients Systems through a web services Application Programming Interface (API) and provides interface to other Emersion Systems for Customer Management, information retrieval and billing.

The Payment & Refunds System allows the Emersion Systems and Client Systems (through an API) to interface with certain Banks, card providers and other payment services Supplier Systems. Through this interface Credit Card, Direct Debit and other payment methods may be enabled for collection, refund and reporting. The System also interfaces to other Emersion Modules for Customer Management, billing and other services.
